Health & safety guidelines

Before your appointment

  • When making the appointment please be sure to let me know of any health issues that your furry friends might have such as wounds, stitches, bumbs, lumps etc.

  • While grooming I am careful to manipulate your dog within their comfort zone, but some pups have sensitive areas that may trigger aggression or cause them pain. Please let me know of anything to avoid that you’re aware of or had issues with in the past like “don’t approach and grab him or her from behind.

  • Please be transparent about the condition of your pup’s coat so that I can realistically assess the time it will take to complete the groom and avoid any unexpected fees like dematting fees.

  • If it is your dog’s first groom I will need to know this as well.

During your appointment

  • I use a hydraulic grooming table to adjust the height for easy reach.

  • The dog will be secured with a grooming noose and stomach strap.

  • If your dog shows signs of aggression I will use a muzzle.

  • If they are reaching their threshold during any part of the grooming process I may be unable to complete certain tasks and I will always be upfront about it. Client and personal safety is always my highest priority.
